I wanted privacy tools that do not talk like privacy tools.
Most people have better things to do than learn URL parameters and photo metadata. They should still be able to remove information they did not mean to share.
It started with copied links.
Apps add tracking, campaign labels, share codes, and referral information to links. CleanupMy.link removes the parts it recognizes and keeps the parts the destination needs.
Photos had the same problem.
A photo can contain a location, device details, dates, and identifiers that never appear in the picture. The photo cleaner shows what it found and makes a new copy without it.
The rule is simple.
Show what was found. Explain it without jargon. Let the person check the result. Keep the link or file in the browser tab.
What stays in the tab
Link text and photo files are handled in your browser. The site code has access to them while the tab is open because that is how cleaning works, but it does not send those inputs to a CleanupMy.link server.
What this does not promise
A clean link can still open a website that uses accounts, cookies, or browser signals. A clean photo can still reveal information visible in the picture itself. These tools remove specific hidden extras, not every possible privacy risk.
